Oakland Avenue Remodel — Mediterranean-Style Estate Conversion, Depot Hill, Capitola

Julie Hansmann of David Lyng Real Estate represented buyers in the purchase of a three-building property on Oakland Avenue in the Depot Hill neighborhood of Capitola, CA. Hansmann Construction then completed a full Mediterranean-style conversion of the site, working with designer Derke Val Alstine. The project scope included:

• Main residence: the original duplex converted into a single Mediterranean-style main home

• Wellness building: a second structure converted into a private yoga studio and workout room

• Guest house: a third structure converted into a one-bedroom guest residence with its own kitchen and living room

• Design collaboration with designer Derke Val Alstine to unify the three buildings under a cohesive Mediterranean aesthetic

This project reflects both sides of the Hansmann/David Lyng partnership: Julie Hansmann's real estate representation on the acquisition, and Hansmann Construction's execution of a complex multi-structure conversion for the buyers.
